Product Description
This amazingly crafted piece of Mammoth tusk tusk retains the dark hues of antique ivory while the artist has slowly carved through the layers of ivory, while retaining the darker outer exterior.
Look at the details of the dragons, the finely sculpted scales, claws and details on the dragon skin.
The intermingled dragons join at the point where the mouths open up as if to engulf the sun.
The skill of the master craftsman is clearly visible in the fluid lines, smooth strokes and detailed sculpture and to authenticate his work, the sign is clearly visible.
See the deep brown edges at the ends while the back retains the natural color of centuries old Mammoth tusk that had been buried under the Arctic permafrost.
The dark colored ivory with bluish hues is natural colored and fits into the custom designed teak wood stand that has been hand carved for the carved ivory.
The back of the hollow tusk has been left in the natural state while it has been polished to bring out the rich luster of natural Mammoth tusk.
While the criss-cross pattern is clearly visible where the tusk broke away from the main piece, which shows that it is organic, 100% legal and genuine mammoth tusk ivory derived from the extinct wooly mammoths.
