The back of the sculpture retains the raw beauty of eons old extinct wooly Mammoth tusk tusk as found in nature after being buried deep under the permafrost in the Arctic regions.

The dark brown with shades of blue are due to the ivory tusk absorbing the minerals from the soil over centuries as it lay buried.
The artist has left the natural luster and beauty of the different shades but carved through the layers to bring the rustic delight of frogs in the pool.
It is set within teakwood base. Only genuine, legal and organic Mammoth tusk tusk  has been used for carving while delicately polished to bring out the natural beauty of the extinct wooly mammoth tusk piece.
